Our free lookup tools show what websites can learn from your connection. Use them to check that the VPN is working.
Check that the VPN is working
- Disconnect from the VPN and open IP lookup. Note the IP address, internet provider and location.
- Connect to a LuraVPN location and refresh the page.
- The IP address and location should now match the VPN location you chose, not your own.
Location databases are approximate, so the city shown may be near the server rather than exactly where it is. If your own address still shows while the app says Protected, send a support request.
Other lookup tools
- WHOIS lookup shows a domain’s registration details, such as its registrar, registration date and name servers. It can help you decide whether to trust a website.
- Geolocation lookup shows the approximate location for an IP address.
